Stanford’s Medical School gets $25M in NCI cancer grants

Stanford University’s School of Medicine has nabbed more than $25 million in funds from the National Cancer Institute to develop new ways to diagnose and fight cancer, as well as to gain better understanding of cancer’s cell-level underpinnings. The funding, announced Tuesday by Stanford, is made up of a $10 million grant to support its In Vivo Cellular and Molecular Imaging Center, and a second, $15 million grant to its Center for Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence and Translation.
