Stanford University/Lucile Packard nab $12.7M NIH childhoood obesity grant

The National Institutes of Health has awarded a $12.7 million, seven-year grant to researchers at Stanford University and the affiliated 311-bed Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital to design and study a weight-control program to battle the national scourge of childhood obesity. The research team is led by Thomas Robinson, M.D., a professor of child health, pediatrics and medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
