Stanford rejects ‘cooling-off’ proposal from nursing union

Officials at Stanford Hospitals & Clinics and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital say they have no intention of ceding ground in an ongoing labor dispute with their nurses union. The Committee for Recognition of Nursing Achievement proposed a “cooling-off period” a couple of weeks ago, suggesting that the nurses work under their current contract and then resume negotiations at the beginning of next year.
