Stanford pediatric trauma center receives level 2 ranking
San Jose Business Journal

Stanford said it received a level 2 pediatric trauma center designation on Thursday from the American College of Surgeons. The designation means the trauma center has the ability to address trauma care and the needs of its patients all the way through rehabilitation. It recognizes trauma treatment capabilities of the pediatric emergency department and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford offering pediatric surgery, intensive care unit stays and physical or occupational therapy to children recuperating from traumatic injuries.
