Stanford Hospital gets up to $150M in pledges from tech giants for new hospital

Stanford Hospital & Clinics has won “up to $150 million” in philanthropic support for its new $2 billion hospital from Silicon Valley giants Apple Inc., eBay Inc., Hewlett-Packard, Intel Corp., Intuit and Oracle Corp., the academic medical center said Tuesday. The six high-tech companies are founding members of the new Stanford Hospital Corporate Partner Program, Stanford said, and their “projected” contributions over the next decade are expected to approach $150 million.
