During the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, San Bernardino County residents lost their health insurance at a higher rate than anywhere else in the state, a UCLA study said Tuesday. Between 2007 and 2009, San Bernardino County had the state’s highest percentage-point increase for the uninsured – 9.7 – said researchers Shana Alex Lavarreda and Livier Cabezas, of the UCLA Center For Health Policy Research.
