Sonoma Valley Hospital retrofit expands
Sonoma Index-Tribune

Plans to bring Sonoma Valley Hospital into compliance with state seismic codes grew last week as the Sonoma Valley Health Care District board approved a measure to provide an additional $5.7 million in funding for the expanded project. Project costs were expected to be covered by the $35-million general obligation bond that voters passed in 2008. After refinancing old debt and soft planning costs, about $31 million in bond funds remain, but now hospital staff must find more money in philanthropy and equipment loans to fund the expanding project.
