S.J. General staff contributes to trauma center study

Staffers at San Joaquin General Hospital are chipping in to pay for a study exploring the possibility of becoming a designated trauma center.

This week, Service Employees International Union Local 1021 ponied up $10,000 for the study. Physicians will match that, too, according to the hospital.

“It shows the interest the hospital has in evaluating this,” CEO David Culberson said.
