Shingle Springs tribe gets grant for uninsured kids

The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians is one of 41 tribes and Native American health programs nationwide to receive grants from the U.S Department of Health and Human Services and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The grants are intended to help improve outreach and enrollment of American Indian and Alaska Native uninsured children who are eligible for, but not enrolled in, their state’s Medicaid program or Children’s Health Insurance Program.
