S.F. planners OK health facilities master plan law

The San Francisco Planning Commission Thursday approved an ordinance that will give the city new powers to determine the type and location of new medical facilities in the city.

On a 5-1 vote, with Commissioner Michael Antonini voting no, the commission gave its support to Supervisor David Campos’ plan to develop a health care services master plan that “identifies the current and projected needs for, and locations of, health-care services within San Francisco.”
