Seton Medical Center to close skilled-nursing unit
The Mercury News

Seton Medical Center will close its skilled-nursing unit because of the hospital’s ongoing budget woes. The private Catholic hospital is not accepting any new patients into the ninth-floor unit and will shut it down completely within two months, Seton President Lorraine Auerbach said in a letter Wednesday to the medical staff. The unit currently serves 25 patients who need around-the-clock care and treatment that only licensed nurses can give. Seton is Daly City’s largest employer, with about 1,700 workers.
