Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital to cut work force
Monterey Herald

Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital began a broad reorganization of its operations this week that includes trimming its work force and could eventually include layoffs. Spokeswoman Adrienne Laurent said the hospital will begin to offer some employees a voluntary buyout as part of an effort to reduce its work force by 138 positions and cut costs.

Laurent said employees at all levels will be offered the buyouts, and they will have until July 16 to accept.
