Reward doctors for spending time with patients

While driving to work the other day, I heard a radio guest speculating that there would soon be a lucrative practice opportunity for physicians catering to patients seeking medical marijuana.

The physician would not need to be the primary treating physician and wouldn’t have to see the patient again – all he or she had to do was “recommend” medical marijuana, even if the patient’s ailment was not on the long list of approved indications.
