Report: Health care could employ 1 million in California

California’s allied health industry might be a key driver of economic growth in the state over the next two decades if the education system ramps up enough to train 375,000 additional workers, new work force projections show. Demand suggests the allied health care sector could employ almost 1 million workers with a collective earning power of more than $116 billion in wages by 2030, according to a study released Tuesday by Beacon Economics.
