Queen of the Valley nurses face union vote
Napa Valley Register

In the latest of the California Nurses Association’s ongoing effort to unionize nurses at Queen of the Valley Medical Center, hundreds of Queen nurses are voting Thursday on whether to join the union. Some 484 registered nurses at the Queen are eligible for Thursday’s one-day, simple majority vote, which the National Labor Relations Board is overseeing, hospital officials said. The CNA represents registered nurses at three of the Queen’s sister hospitals, including Eureka’s St. Joseph Hospital, Petaluma Valley Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, according to the CNA.
