Public Confidence in Health Care Dips

The American public’s confidence in the health care system rose markedly after passage of the sprawling legislative package this year, according to a survey released on Wednesday by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

But the measurement of confidence quickly settled back to historical levels, according to the monthly survey, as families turned from rhetoric to reality. Changes in the new law are being put in place over 10 years, and the news has turned from political promises of insurance reform to the reality of rising premiums.
