Primary care group to offer $22M in emergency community clinic loans

The California Primary Care Association said Tuesday it’s preparing a $22 million emergency loan fund to help 800 community clinics and health centers throughout California “keep their doors open and continue to serve patients” if there are delays in approving a new state budget. California’s Legislature is expected to miss Wednesday’s constitutionally mandated budget deadlinefor the 17th time in the past two decades. The Golden State’s budget deadline is the last day of the fiscal year.
