PPH builds tablet computer app to help docs see patient data

Rather than waiting for the technology industry to develop a software for doctors to remotely access data on patients, Palomar Pomerado Health has built its own program and was busy showing it off Monday at a health care convention in Orlando, Fla. The program, called Medical Information Anytime Anywhere, pulls patient data from several proprietary health care computer systems for display on tablet computers running Google Inc.’s popular Android mobile operating system, said Dr. Ben Kanter, the chief medical informatics officer at PPH.
