Poll: Many small businesses unaware of health insurance tax credits
San Jose Business Journal

More workers employed by small businesses in California would have health insurance if their employers knew about key provisions in the national health reform law, a new poll shows. Fifty-seven percent of the small businesses surveyed by the investment firm Pacific Community Ventures said they didn’t know about the small business tax credits they can claim this year to offset health care costs. Once told about the credits, 43 percent of the small businesses that don’t offer insurance said they’d be more likely to do so once they heard about the tax credits.
