Palm Drive Hospital’s survival may depend on fostering alliances with medical centers and other hospitals while it tries to find its own niche market and attract more patients. “Health care is changing so quickly, we need to get ourselves into a position that we are nimble,” said Chris Dawson, board treasurer of the Sebastopol hospital. “You take one step in a new collaborative effort and new things emerge. You have to be flexible and take advantage of opportunities out there.”
