Palm Drive cuts operating loss, discloses more improper billings
Santa Rosa Press Democrat

New services and equipment at Palm Drive Hospital are predicted to draw more patients and boost revenues, cutting the hospital’s operating loss by more than half during the next fiscal year.

A $30.4 million spending plan, which will be considered today by hospital district directors, relies on a parcel tax that brings in $4 million annually to offset the remaining vestiges of Palm Drive’s operating loss. The proposed budget would leave the Sebastopol hospital with $1.7 million in net income at the end of the 2011-2012 budget year.
