New CT scanner benefits patients, doctors at Fallbrook Hospital

Officials at Fallbrook Hospital announced at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Jan. 19 that patients and physicians in the region can now access the latest diagnostic imaging with the addition of its new 64-Slice Computed Tomography (CT) scanner. A CT scanner is a procedure that generates cross-sectional views and three-dimensional images of internal organs and body structure, and is used to assist physicians in diagnosing life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, heart, lung and vascular disease and stroke.
