Murrieta, Wildomar hospital problems outlined in letter from state

Improper sterilization of equipment, patient neglect and unsafe operating room conditions are among the alleged reasons cited by state regulators seeking to revoke the licenses of two Riverside County hospitals, documents released today show.

The California Department of Public Health sent a letter to Universal Health Services Inc., which operates Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta and Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, notifying the company of the state’s intent to de-license the hospitals.
