Memorial hospital and right to organize

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the National Labor Relations Act, legislation that extended basic labor rights to American workers, including the rights to organize, to bargain collectively and to strike for fair wages, benefits and workplace safety. However, as the attempt by workers to organize a union at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital demonstrates, Americans have little cause to celebrate. Today, American workers are systematically denied their basic labor rights.
