Medicare revenue growth sluggish, S&P says

Hospital and professional healthcare service Medicare revenue set another record for sluggish annual growth, according to one index. The Standard & Poor’s Healthcare Economic Indices estimate the average per capita change in revenue for hospitals and healthcare professional services from commercial insurers and Medicare fee-for-service. The Medicare index, which recorded record-slow growth for the year that ended in February, cooled further for the 12 months ended in April, the ratings agency said.
