Medical units sale opposed by nurses
San Mateo Daily Journal

The California Nurses Association has come out against a plan by Mills-Peninsula Health Services to sell its skilled-nursing and dialysis units to save the company about $11 million a year. The nurse’s union thinks the company can find other ways to save money other than closing the units, which employs 219 people, including 69 registered nurses. The pediatrics center in Burlingame will also close its doors in December.
