Medical clinic’s flier creates confusion for healthcare patients

A mailer and healthcare identification card sent to more than 60,000 patients who visited a Centers for Family Health clinic in the county last year has stirred confusion and concern among patients and staffers who are members of a competing healthcare network.

The Centers for Family Health, which is part of the nonprofit Community Memorial Health System, mailed a flier and a wallet-sized card to all patients who had visited any of the systems’ nine clinics in 2009.
