Marin General sues Sutter to recoup $120M, Sutter to fight back

Marin General Hospital Corp. sued Sutter Health on Thursday seeking to recoup more than $120 million that it says Sutter “systematically and improperly” took from the hospital’s coffers over the past four years. The cash transfers, which may have totaled $180 million or more, have been the subject of controversy for well over a year, and Marin General’s owner, the public Marin Healthcare District, has been making noises about suing the Sacramento-based system for months.
