Los Angeles officials approve MLK agreement
Modern Healthcare

The reopening of Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital in Los Angeles took another step forward with the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors authorizing the signing of a coordination agreement with the University of California. The hospital is on track to re-open in 2013. Under the approved plan, Los Angeles County will create a private, not-for-profit corporation to open and run the 120-bed hospital on the grounds of the old facility, Martin Luther King, Jr.-Harbor Hospital, which closed in 2007.
