Kaiser Foundation Health Plan ranks highest in member satisfaction among Golden State health plans for a fifth consecutive year, according to J.D. Power and Associates. Its U.S. Member Health Plan Study, released Tuesday, indicated that Oakland-based Kaiser Permanente’s health plan nabbed a score of 769 out of 1,000 possible points, easily surpassing the other major plans in the state. The others — Cigna, Blue Shield of California, Health Net, Anthem Blue Cross of California, PacifiCare, United Healthcare and Aetna, in that order — virtually tied for second, or last place, with scores ranging from Cigna’s 693 to Aetna’s 667.
