Kaiser Permanente looks to cut carbon footprint 30% by 2020

Like many large corporations these days, Kaiser Permanente wants to reduce its overall greenhouse emissions. The Oakland-based health care provider, with hospitals and services throughout Silicon Valley, has set an aggressive goal. It wants to cut its carbon footprint by 30 percent come 2020, compared to its 2008 levels. The strategy includes investing in clean and renewable energy sources as well as targeting energy conservation measures.
