Kaiser grants $1.1M to local organizations

Forty Sacramento-area organizations have been selected by Kaiser Permanente to share $1.1 million in grants focusing on community violence prevention and promoting access to health care services. The two largest grants went to The Effort, which got $97,200 to provide health care services to 200 patients with mental illness, and $96,000 to the Sacramento Native American Health Center’s Full Circle Chronic Disease Program.
