Kaiser gets 400+ entries in hospital design competition, but tosses a few late ones

Early last month, I tweaked Kaiser Permanente a bit in a blog about its hospital design project, “open to the public,” to help it come up with better ideas to build small, innovative hospitals. Boy, was I wrong. Turns out, the Oakland-based health care giant got more than 400 responses from 23 countries and 32 U.S. states. Some were excluded from consideration, because they came in after the 5 p.m. deadline on March 21.
