Dr. Ernie Bodai, a surgeon at Kaiser Permanente’s Sacramento Medical Center and founder of the breast cancer research stamp, has been nominated for a Congressional Gold Medal. Bodai was nominated by Rep. Jackie Speier of San Mateo for outstanding contributions to women’s health and creation of the first fundraising stamp in U.S. history. The stamp sells for a few cents more than regular postage and the proceeds go to breast cancer research.
