Hospital wing still drawing ire from residents over parking, traffic issues

Three years after plans to expand Providence Holy Cross Medical Center drew controversy from nearby residents, the hospital’s new four-story, 138-bed patient care wing is set to open next month.

The public is invited Saturday to preview the $180 million wing, which includes a 12-bed neonatal intensive care unit, a Women’s Pavilion, gastroenterology lab, operating rooms and a nondenominational chapel.
