Hospital, county to change program to get federal money

The CEO of Riverside County’s public hospital on Thursday said he intends to submit to the county Board of Supervisors a “gingerly balanced” budget, which hinges on the hospital’s ability to get money from the federal government and make up for $42 million lost in one-time payments.

Doug Bagley, who heads Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley, told supervisors that revisions to the county’s medical indigent program could help pay for it.
