Hospital bond tax rates to jump $5.75 per $100k

Citing shrinking property values, a Palomar Pomerado Health committee approved a small increase in property taxes for inland North County residents Tuesday. If approved by the full hospital board at its next regular meeting on Aug. 9, the annual levy rate would jump from $17.75 to $23.50 per $100,000 of a property’s assessed value in order to make payments on $496 million in general obligation bonds approved by voters in 2004.
