It’s time. The baby is on the way. Do you head to the hospital or do you head down the hall and prepare to give birth at home?

For an increasing number of women in the United States, they head down the hall. According to a story by the Associated Press, the number of home births in this country is up 20 percent from 2004 to 2008. That is 28,357 of 4.2 million babies, according to a study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Which does not seem like a lot, but a 20 percent increase is significant.
