Gov. Brown vetoes adult day health care bill
San Francisco Chronicle

Gov. Jerry Brown has vetoed legislation that would have kept adult day health care centers from closing.

In his veto message issued Monday, Brown said the legislation would have wrongly created a “look-alike” program to the program his administration eliminated through budget cuts earlier this year.

The centers were almost completely reliant on Medi-Cal funding, with the state and federal governments splitting the bill.
