Another federal appeals court has granted an expedited review as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act marches toward the U.S. Supreme Court. The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati has agreed to quickly review a ruling by U.S. District Judge George Caram Steeh of Detroit, who upheld the constitutionality of the reform law’s requirement that nearly all private citizens buy health insurance or face a tax penalty. Oral arguments on that appeal will be heard in late May or early June, according to a 6th Circuit filing.
