Experts: Health system can handle new insured

An estimated 800,000 uninsured Inland Empire residents will get health care coverage under the new reform plan, but experts say the region’s medical system should be capable of absorbing that load. Hours after the sweeping health care reform was signed into law Tuesday, experts downplayed worries that the newly insured would flood the limited number of primary care providers, forcing even more patients into already overburdened emergency rooms.
