Enloe speeds up heart-attack care
Chico Enterprise Record

Enloe Medical Center now has a quicker way of treating victims of an especially dangerous kind of heart attack. A new protocol allows paramedics to do tests in the field to determine if a patient is having what’s called a STEMI heart attack.

If the test is positive, the patient is to be rushed directly to Enloe so that angioplasty can be done to open blocked arteries.
