Employers see reform pushing plan costs up
Modern Healthcare

About 45% of employers said they expect health plan costs to increase from 1% to 5% or more in 2014 to stay in compliance with some of the federal healthcare law’s mandates, according to a new study.

The report, which was conducted by consulting firm Mercer, surveyed 894 private and public employers in June. It found that 15% of the employers surveyed said they are already in compliance with the law’s mandates and another 29% of respondents reported they could not estimate the impact of changes in 2014.
