East Bay medical leaders praise health care reform bill

Many East Bay medical leaders on Monday praised the health care reform overhaul bill passed Sunday by the House of Representatives, saying it will ease the severe financial pressures on institutions that serve large numbers of uninsured patients. But with the praise came warnings that more changes are needed to make sure that the nation has enough primary care doctors and nurse practitioners to care for the 32 million people expected to gain coverage under the bill.
