Does it matter where cancer patients die? Study says yes

In many cases, where cancer patients die may be as important as when they die, at least when it comes to alleviating suffering in patients and the loved ones they leave behind, a new study suggests. Cancer patients who died in a hospital or intensive care unit suffered more physical and emotional distress than those who died at home with hospice services, according to study of nearly 700 people in today’s Journal of Clinical Oncology.
