Dems target ‘pay for delay’ arrangements

House Democrats are eyeing an emergency spending bill to include measures that limit the use of “pay for delay” arrangements among pharmaceutical companies, alter how some Medicaid drugs are priced and boost funding to rein in fraudulent billing under Medicare. The healthcare-related provisions are part of a 110-page amendment to the $58.8 billion war supplemental package and include billions of dollars more for targeted domestic programs.
