Delayed reimbursement dampens Tenet results
Modern Healthcare

Tenet Healthcare Corp. reported a fourth-quarter 2011 net loss of $76 million, which it attributed to its debtrestructuring plan. The loss compares with net income of $74 million for the same period in 2010.

The Dallas-based hospital operator also saw a 5.4% increase in net operating revenue, which came in at $2.23 billion for the quarter, but delayed reimbursement from payers’ tempered growth.
