Deals signed ahead of Marin hospital turnover

The Marin Healthcare District, which will regain control of Marin General Hospital in less than nine weeks, has negotiated $60 million in loans from Union Bank and signed a host of other contracts to see it through the transition. The Greenbrae-based public district, which takes control from Sutter Health in late June, has negotiated a $30 million loan and a $30 million line of credit, said Jon Friedenberg, the district’s chief fund and business development officer.
