Covering the uninsured
Daily Bulletin

San Bernardino County is developing a program to help a large group of the county’s uninsured population bridge the gap between now and 2014, when health care reform fully kicks in. An estimated 90,400 county residents will be eligible for the program, which is designed to provide uninsured people coverage and a place to go – other than the emergency room – for medical help, said Richard Thomason, program director for the Blue Shield of California Foundation.
