Consumers see hospital prices slip in November

Consumer prices for hospital services fell 0.2% in November after the prior month’s increase of 0.7%, according to newly released figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. All figures are seasonally adjusted. The hospital Consumer Price Index for November 2009 was 0.8%. For the 12-month period ended in November, hospital consumer prices increased 7.4%, compared with 7.7% a year ago.
